About Halalify

Empowering faith-conscious investors to build ethical wealth. We provide transparent, automated, and scholarly-backed Shariah compliance screening for the Indian stock market.

Our Motivation

The Indian stock market represents one of the fastest-growing economic avenues in the world. However, for millions of Muslim and values-first investors, identifying halal investment options is incredibly challenging.

Before this platform, verifying the compliance of a stock required manually parsing financial statements or relying on expensive, opaque tools. We introduced this platform to make Shariah screening accessible, reliable, and 100% transparent.

Our Approach

We combine automated financial data parsing with the internationally recognized 6-filter Shariah compliance model. By analyzing quarterly balance sheets and income statements directly, we calculate exact financial ratios and non-compliant revenue percentages.

We do not hide our math. We expose the calculations and raw financial figures to our users, enabling you to audit the halal status yourself with total confidence.

Our Vision

To become India's most trusted and transparent platform for ethical and Shariah-compliant equity research, fostering community prosperity through values-based investing.

Our Mission

To democratize halal stock screening and dividend purification calculation by providing free, state-of-the-art tools that align modern finance with faith.

The 6-Filter Screening Criteria

Our automated system evaluates every Indian stock across six strict parameters to determine Shariah compliance.

Filter 1

Primary Business Activity

Excludes companies that derive revenue from prohibited (Haraam) sectors such as interest-based finance, alcohol, tobacco, gambling, pork/non-halal food, adult entertainment, and weapons.

Filter 2

Interest-Bearing Debt Ratio

Total interest-bearing debt divided by total assets must be less than 20%. This ensures the company is not heavily leveraged on interest (Riba).

Filter 3

Interest-Bearing Securities Ratio

Total interest-bearing deposits and cash investments divided by total assets must be less than 30%.

Filter 4

Liquidity/Receivables Ratio

Receivables plus cash divided by total assets must be less than 33% to ensure the company trades in real assets rather than purely liquid debt assets.

Filter 5

Non-Compliant Revenue Limit

Income from non-compliant ancillary business activities must not exceed 1% of the total revenue.

Filter 6

Dividend Purification

If any compliant stock has minor non-compliant revenue (under 1%), that exact ratio of dividends must be purified by donating it to charity.
